HAVE YOU MET JESUS?

Salvation: God’s Invitation to New Life

Salvation is God’s personal invitation to every heart to be restored, redeemed, and made new through Him. Because of sin, we are separated from God and powerless to save ourselves through good works or personal effort. Yet in His great love, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to live a sinless life, to die on the cross for our sins, and to rise again so that we might have eternal life.

Salvation is received by grace through faith—by turning from sin, believing in Jesus as Lord and Savior, and fully surrendering our lives to Him. When we accept Christ, we are forgiven, adopted into God’s family, and given new life, both now and forever. This is not the end of the journey, but the beginning of a transformed life anchored in God’s truth, power, and promise.

Why Salvation Matters

Whatever season you’re in, whatever your stand looks like, Scripture is clear: we are powerless apart from a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. Walking with Him daily, crucifying the flesh, and surrendering our will all begin with salvation. This decision is not just important—it is the most important decision you will ever make.

If you have not entered into that relationship, we urge you to begin today. Scripture presents both sobering truth and incredible hope. Understanding the seriousness of our condition helps us fully grasp the beauty of God’s grace.

THE REALITY OF SIN

The Bible tells us that no one is righteous on their own. We have all fallen short of God’s standard. Sin is not merely wrongdoing—it is missing the mark. Humanity was created in the image of God, and that image is perfectly revealed in Jesus Christ. Sin is every thought, word, or action that fails to reflect Him.

Because of sin, death entered the world, and separation from God became our inheritance. Scripture teaches that sin cannot dwell in God’s presence, and left unaddressed, it leads to eternal separation from Him. This was never God’s desire. The consequence exists not because God hates humanity, but because His holiness cannot coexist with sin.

The Good News of Redemption

As devastating as the reality of sin is, the good news is greater still.

God did not leave us in our brokenness. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Through Jesus, we are justified freely by grace. The penalty of sin—death—was fully paid, and the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Redemption means a price was paid on our behalf. Through the shedding of His blood on the cross, Jesus redeemed us from sin, from the power of darkness, and from eternal separation from God. The cross became the altar where our debt was canceled, once and for all. By His sacrifice, we are forgiven, restored, and made righteous before God—not by our works, but by His grace.

hOW TO RECEIVE SALVATION

Scripture tells us clearly how salvation is received:

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

To confess Jesus as Lord means to surrender ownership of your life to Him. He is not only Savior, but Master, having purchased us with His blood. To believe in His resurrection is to trust that He conquered sin and death and proved Himself to be God in the flesh.

Salvation is not something we earn. It is a gift—received by faith.

a pRAYER OF SALVATION

If you are ready to place your faith in Jesus Christ, you can pray this prayer—out loud or silently:

“Father, I confess that I am a sinner and that I have fallen short of Your glory. I know that the wages of sin is death, but I also know that the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ my Lord. I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus suffered, bled, and died for my sins, and that You raised Him from the dead. I declare that Jesus is Lord of my life, and I commit to serving Him all the rest of my days. In Jesus’ name, amen.”

What Comes Next?

The prayer itself does not save you—salvation comes through believing in your heart and confessing Jesus as Lord. But this prayer is an expression of that faith and the beginning of your walk with Him.
