Guardians of the Covenant publishes Bible-centered marriage, prayer, discipleship, and spiritual-warfare resources. These standards describe how we aim to keep that content faithful, clear, safe, and accountable.
Our editorial commitments
- Scripture in context: Biblical references should support the point being made and should not be used to excuse harm, coercion, secrecy, or control.
- Clear responsibility: Authors are responsible for accurate research and careful language. Editors check structure, clarity, links, quotations, and source attribution. Theological reviewers assess consistency with the ministry’s published convictions.
- Safety before rhetoric: Guidance must not imply that a person should remain in immediate danger, conceal abuse, delay emergency help, or handle a serious safety situation alone.
- Honest limits: We distinguish spiritual education and pastoral encouragement from licensed counseling, medical care, legal advice, and emergency services.
- Visible accountability: Guidance content should identify its author or ministry role, reviewer or review role when appropriate, and the date it was last reviewed.
Review standards by content type
General ministry and devotional content receives an editorial review for clarity, Scripture context, and alignment with the intended audience. Content addressing abuse, coercive control, child safety, self-harm, suicide, serious mental distress, medical decisions, or legal rights requires additional review by a person with relevant professional qualifications or direct subject-matter responsibility before it is presented as guidance.
When a qualified review has not yet been completed, the content should not imply professional authority. It should use careful boundaries, point readers toward appropriate help, and avoid prescriptive claims outside the ministry’s competence.
Pastoral and professional boundaries
Our resources are intended for spiritual education and encouragement. They are not a substitute for licensed counseling, medical diagnosis or treatment, legal advice, law enforcement, or emergency services. Prayer and pastoral support may accompany professional care; they should not be used to delay it.

Sources, quotations, and lived experience
- Direct quotations should be attributed and kept in context.
- Claims that depend on research, law, health guidance, or statistics should cite a reliable and current source.
- Personal stories should be shared with appropriate permission and edited to protect private or identifying information.
- Anonymous examples and composite scenarios should be labeled clearly and must not be presented as verified testimony.
- Any assisted drafting or editing process remains subject to human editorial responsibility and these same review standards.
Corrections and reader feedback
Readers can report a factual error, unsafe implication, broken resource, missing attribution, or accessibility barrier through the Contact page. Please include the page address and a brief description of the concern. We aim to acknowledge editorial feedback within five business days, with urgent safety concerns prioritized.
Material corrections should update the page’s review date and, when useful to readers, include a short correction note. Minor spelling, formatting, or link repairs may be made without a separate notice.
Review schedule and current limitations
High-risk guidance should be reviewed at least annually and sooner when relevant resources, professional guidance, or ministry practice changes. Other evergreen guidance should be reviewed at least every two years. New content should enter the appropriate review path before publication.
Some older resources do not yet display a named reviewer, ministry role, or current review date. We are addressing that legacy gap progressively. Publication on this website should not be read as a claim that every archived page has already completed the full process described above.
